• About Twin Cities International Elementary School

    Our school is committed to preparing students for successful and productive lives as United States citizens while supporting them to retain their unique cultural heritage. The school has a centralized administration led by School Director Abdirashid Warsame and a School Board comprised of teachers and community members.

    Mission and Vision

    Mission Statement:

    It is the mission of the Twin Cities International Elementary School to provide a rigorous education in a culturally sensitive environment to all students enrolled. Founded by educational leaders in the Twin Cities communities, this public charter school is open to serve all students and ultimately seeks to prepare students for successful and productive lives as United States citizens while allowing them to retain their unique cultural heritage.

    Vision Statement:

    To continuously provide and teach a model of success for each and every student.

    The Twin Cities International Elementary School visions teaching practices as both reflective of, and responsive to the needs of all students. Through staff development, teaming and collaborative efforts, continuous improvement initiatives are generated to ensure there is clear evidence to support movement toward mastery of content standards for all learners.
