• Guidelines for Parents/Guardians:

    • Set aside time for each of your students to have access to a technology device for about 20 minutes daily between 9:00am -12:30pm in order to check-in with their teachers using Google Meet.
    • Make a daily schedule of consistent routines for your children to follow each day including:
      • School check-in time between (9:00-12:30pm)
      • School academic work time
      • Physical activity
      • Home helper/chore time
      • Play/tv time
      • And, ensure consistent meal and bedtimes
    • Ensure that each student has enough time on a technology device to complete their daily work before 2:30pm the following day.
    • Be available or have older siblings help students with new learning.
    • Utilize Google Meet links on the school's website if you need to contact school staff, have questions for your child's teacher(s) regarding course work, attendance or if you need the school's assistance during this closure period.
    • Check the school's website for periodic updates throughout the distance learning period. Use the information on the District Services tab to contact school administration and other key school employees during this time.




    K-4 Elementary School Students:

    • Students can find daily lessons for EACH day on their teacher's website by 9:00AM Monday-Friday.
    • Students can also find weekly lessons posted for their specialist classes (PE, Arabic, Media/Technology, and Social Emotional Learning (SEL) on those teacher's websites by 9:00AM Monday-Friday.
    • Students in Ms. Mel. Ms.Kelly, Ms. Taylor, Ms. Monica or Ms. Wendy's reading classes can find daily lessons on those teacher's websites by 9:00AM Monday-Friday.
    • Students must log on to Google Meet Monday through Friday between 9:00AM and 12:30PM and check-in with ALL of their teachers.
    • Students should type their names and questions to notify their teachers that they have entered Google Meet.
    • For students who do not have internet access paper packets were available for pick up the week of March 16th, 2020. These will be updated every two weeks, if necessary and MUST be submitted upon return to school.
    • Students must complete/submit 60% of their work for each class to be marked as present for daily attendance. Each teacher homeroom teacher will take attendance based on work submission.
    • Technology Staff, EL and SPED teachers will also be available for students during office hours for student support. Please see thier website for their Google Meet information.

     

    5-8 Middle School Students:

    • Students can find daily lessons for EACH hour of their day on their teacher's website by 9:00AM Monday-Friday.
    • Students must log on to Google Meet Monday through Friday between 9:00AM and 12:30PM and check-in with ALL of their teachers.
    • Students should type their names and questions to notify their teachers that they have entered Google Meet.
    • For students who do not have internet access there will be paper packets for each class available. These will be updated every two weeks and MUST be submitted upon return to school.
    • Students must complete 50% of their work for each class to be marked as present for daily attendance. Each teacher you have will take attendance: math, ELA, science, social studies, and both electives.
    • Technology Staff, EL and SPED teachers will also be available for students during office hours for student support.
