    Highlights - Cleaning & Supplies

    • TCIS will have the building certified as disinfected in late August, which will last for approx. 90 days in addition to daily increased cleaning protocols

    • TCIS will ensure that high-touch surfaces are cleaned multiple times per day by school custodians

    • TCIS will follow the MDH COVID-19 Cleaning and Disinfecting Guidance for Schools and Child Care Programs and Recommended Supplies for Schools: COVID-19 guidance documents

    • TCIS is able to aquire cleaning and disinfecting products needed to ensure a safe and clean school environment

    • Individual and school-wide PPE have been purchased and will be distributed in accordance with guidance and need including facial masks, face shields, gloves, clear barriers at office desks, etc…

    • In addition to TCIS purchases, MN Governor Walz shared that the State of MN would be providing facial masks and shields to schools for students and staff members

    • Students will be required to have their own school tools, such as pencils, crayons, etc and not have a class sharing plan

     

    Highlights - Screening & Monitoring

    • TCIS will strictly follow MDH Decision Tree for People with COVID-19 Symptoms in Youth, Student, and Child Care Programs

    • TCIS has posted health and safety signage and has implemented health screening protocols to assist in protecting the health and safety of our school community

    • TCIS will utilize an employee and family self-reporting/self-monitoring plan for initial daily attendance decisions, unless otherwise required by MDE and MDH

    • TCIS screening and monitoring protocols are aligned with HIPPA and FERPA

    • TCIS has developed a standardized communication plan should we receive  notification of a positive COVID-19 case

    • Upon arrival at school, each student will participate in a no-touch temperature scan of their forehead by each homeroom teacher, prior to entering the classroom

    • TCIS will limit non-essential visitors and volunteers within the school building and will require a screening health check before entry
