George Lillquist was a former elementary and middle school principal in the Robbinsdale School District. He spent his first years in education as a fifth and sixth grade teacher. Since his retirement in 2002, he has worked for the University of Minnesota as a student teacher supervisor and for Concordia University as a school liaison. In his spare time, he directs theater groups in the Twin Cities area and ushers at Orchestra Hall.
